telediario

Television news

Many people despise television news; they don’t believe what they say. The smartest ones seek their own information on social media and specialised, high-quality websites.

Television news is the most common opinion, the one that is absorbed without realising it, the one that is believed hook, line and sinker, especially thanks to the expression “everything they say on the news is a lie”. That phrase is the excipient with which people swallow the news and the hidden messages it carries. The same thing happens with advertising, on television or anywhere else: ‘That’s just advertising,’ and you swallow it without thinking.

The poisoning system works exactly the same way on those servers that one seeks out, only that, being more subtle in its operation, it is more difficult to detect and neutralise. The most demanding are more demanding in form. They swallow the same message, in the same proportions, but in a more exquisite form, prepared with exotic seasonings that make the bite sweeter.

On any given day, half the news may be about global warming, and the other half about the success of tourism, as if they were completely unrelated issues. Most of the time, this is not news, it is advertising. There is still another half, which is the advertising that politics does for itself.

But the most endearing news these days is that which shows the king and his henchmen acting as if war were a natural phenomenon on a par with hailstones. Except that the planes are beautiful, and they will defend the eastern flank well, with all their pirouettes.
